Oldacres have specialised in the production of art catalogues for some thirty years. These have ranged from 250 page casebound books to small double sided flyers depending on exhibition size and budget. Oldacres can work within most constraints and the same attention is given to every job we do, regardless of size.
The involvement of the artist throughout the production of their catalogue is a very beneficial service which we offer at no extra cost. This requires the artist to go through each painting in detail with our specialist, looking at colours, contrast and various other aspects that have not been achieved when photographed.
Subsequently, the artist is then present on press, to add further small adjustments in colour and balance to make sure the finished result is as close as can be achieved to the original. It takes away the stresses and strains from the gallery and artist, leaving you to concentrate on the other aspects of the exhibition.
If the artist is not local or alive, then we work as closely with the gallery as possible going through proofs at the gallery to correct against paintings if they are available to ensure that the best end result is achieved.
